HCT forms an alliance with Saal.ai to nurture the AI proficiency of the UAE's upcoming youth.

In a significant move to position the UAE as a global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) has formed a strategic partnership with Saal.ai, a cognitive technology company based in the UAE. This collaboration, which aligns with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, aims to equip Emirati students with future-ready skills in AI and big data technologies[1][2].

The partnership is designed to integrate Saal.ai's DigiXT platform, an enterprise-grade AI and big data system, into HCT's academic programs. This integration will offer students hands-on learning experiences with real-world applications of AI and data analytics, enhancing their employability and ensuring they are proficient in cutting-edge technologies[3].

His Excellency Dr. Faisal Alayyan, President and CEO of HCT, stated that the initiative marks a transformative milestone in the educational journey of Emirati youth. He further emphasized that the partnership is in line with HCT's 2023-2028 strategic vision, which prioritizes applied learning, industry engagement, and the development of future-ready graduates[4].

The collaboration supports the UAE's national educational agenda and the nation's broader goals to accelerate innovation, empower youth, and foster impactful partnerships between academia and technology leaders[5]. It also reinforces both institutions' commitment to nurturing local talent and supporting the UAE’s transformation into a knowledge-based economy[6].

The AI industry is projected to reach a market value of USD 15.7 trillion by 2030 globally[7]. Adopting AI in the UAE is expected to boost GDP by 35 percent (USD 96 billion) and reduce government spending by nearly USD 3 billion through greater efficiency[8].

The strategic vision behind this partnership prioritizes applied learning, industry engagement, and the development of future-ready graduates. Through this partnership, students will develop practical expertise that enhances their employability, while industry partners benefit from a skilled pipeline of graduates proficient in cutting-edge technologies[3].

The signing ceremony for this partnership took place at the HCT campus, reinforcing both institutions' commitment to this transformative initiative. This collaboration is set to begin in the upcoming academic year, with AI being introduced across government school curricula from kindergarten through Grade 12[9].
