High-end Jewelry Retailer, Chow Sang Sang, Chooses Nuvei for Online Payment Solutions to Boost Worldwide Growth
Chow Sang Sang Expands into North America with Nuvei's Global Payments Platform
Luxury jewellery retailer Chow Sang Sang has partnered with Nuvei, a global payment technology provider, to support its international growth, particularly its expansion into North America.
Chow Sang Sang, a company that operates over 900 self-run stores across Mainland China, the Hong Kong Region, the Macau Region, and the Taiwan Region, has chosen Nuvei's platform for its international growth. The partnership will provide Chow Sang Sang with a localized, secure, and seamless payment system accessible through a single integration.
This partnership is a significant step for Chow Sang Sang as it seeks to deliver the premium, omnichannel payment experience its customers expect both online and in-store. Nuvei's platform supports 150+ currencies and 720 alternative payment methods, enabling Chow Sang Sang to operate payments in 50 markets.
In North America, Nuvei's infrastructure will enable Chow Sang Sang to enter this new market with local acquiring capabilities and tailored payment options, ensuring transactions are smooth and regionally compliant. Nuvei's recent Money Services Operator (MSO) license in Hong Kong further underpins its ability to support the jeweller's growth not only in Asia-Pacific but globally.
"We're proud to support the region's most ambitious companies with payments technology built for scale," said Phil Fayer, Chair and CEO of Nuvei.
This partnership is a key part of Chow Sang Sang's omnichannel strategy. Ms. Genevieve Chow, Chief Brands Officer at Chow Sang Sang, stated that Nuvei's platform, local knowledge, and global reach enable them to deliver the premium experience their customers expect, online and in-store.
Nuvei's long-term commitment to the APAC region is evident through its expanding on-the-ground presence across Greater China, Japan, Singapore, and Australia. The company already supports APAC expansion for category leaders such as Shein, Temu, and Charles & Keith.
The ecommerce sales of jewelry in the U.S. alone are projected to rise from $22.5 billion to $37.9 billion over the same period. Global online jewelry sales are projected to rise from $105.6 billion in 2024 to $166 billion by 2029, a 16% CAGR. This partnership between Chow Sang Sang and Nuvei is set to play a significant role in this growing market.
Nuvei's growing list of Hong Kong-based merchants across various verticals includes airlines, hospitality, gaming, online travel, car parking, and EV charging. This partnership further cements Nuvei's position as a leading provider of payment technology solutions in the region.
