Historic SF Home Transformed into Light, Airy Entertainer's Dream
A historic San Francisco home, built in 1907, has been transformed by architects into a light and airy space, perfect for hosting guests. The 10,000 square foot residence retains its original charm while embracing a distinctively Californian attitude.
SkB Architects, the firm behind the remodel, preserved the home's historical nature while infusing new life into each room. Despite not altering any internal walls, they created a self-contained cottage with a small kitchen, living space, and dining area.
The largest space in the home, the living room, now boasts a sitting area, dining table, and a large home bar. Each room in the home has a unique character and place, with lighter, sun-kissed hues selected for the interior. The kitchen, separate but well-proportioned, features a large kitchen island.
The remodeled home in San Francisco, with its uplifting and light atmosphere, is ready to welcome guests in style. Its historical location and character, combined with the architects' sensitive touch, make it a standout property in the city.
