HPQ Silicon accelerates battery manufacturing in North America, aiming for a Q3 rollout

HPQ Silicon Inc. and Novacium Team Up to Launch High-Performance Batteries

HPQ Silicon Inc., a technology company focusing on advanced materials and critical process development, has announced a strategic partnership with Novacium SAS to fast-track the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. This collaboration, aimed at addressing the rising demand for longer-lasting, higher-capacity energy storage solutions, is set to launch in Q3 2025.

Under this new partnership, HPQ Silicon will produce 18650 (4,000 mAh) and 21700 (6,000 mAh) batteries, marking the company's entry into the North American market. This strategic shift reflects a deliberate move away from past approaches, embracing faster, more focused execution to accelerate returns and drive commercial success.

The partnership, which has been in the works since early 2025, involves a concurrent model for battery production. This approach allows HPQ Silicon to launch its own battery production operations in parallel with Novacium. The collaboration broadens the global reach of Novacium's GEN3 technology, reinforcing its position as a leader in next-generation energy storage solutions.

Novacium's GEN3 technology incorporates a third-generation silicon-based anode material, offering high energy density and long cycle life close to 1,000 full charge-discharge cycles. This advanced technology has already proven the seamless integration of GEN3 anode material into standard industrial battery manufacturing lines.

HPQ Silicon will leverage Novacium's technology transfer for its production efforts. The company aims to generate early commercial revenues by producing its first GEN3-based battery cells in parallel with Novacium. This strategic move is expected to quickly turn breakthrough technologies into market-ready products.

The expanded collaboration with HPQ underscores a shared commitment to turning innovation into commercial reality. Dr. Jed Kraiem, Head of Novacium, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, stating, "This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to turning innovation into commercial reality."

HPQ Silicon's stock symbols are TSX-V: HPQ, OTCQB: HPQFF, and FRA: O08. For more information about HPQ Silicon Inc. and its innovative battery production, visit HPQ Silicon's website.
