iCar 03 Electric SUV Launches: Affordable, Stylish, and Long-Range
Chery's new electric vehicle (EV) brand, iCar, has launched its debut model, the iCar 03 electric SUV. The vehicle, targeted at a younger demographic, comes in six variants with prices ranging from RMB 109,800 to RMB 169,800 ($15,260 to $23,650).
The iCar 03, a boxy-designed car, measures 4,406 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,715 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,715 mm. It offers three range options using a lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL: 401 km, 472 km, and 501 km. The single-motor rear-wheel drive versions produce a maximum power of 135 kW and a maximum torque of 184 Nm. For enhanced performance, dual-motor four-wheel drive versions are available with a total power of 205 kW, a maximum torque of 279 Nm, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds.
Chery, the manufacturer of the iCar 03, is led by CEO Yin Tongyue. The company is offering benefits to customers who order the iCar 03 before May 31, including a trade-in subsidy and a free charging pile and installation. The top-tier model comes with optional smart driving capabilities from DJI.
The iCar 03, launched under Chery's new EV brand iCar, caters to fashion-conscious young people with its affordable price range and impressive features. With various range and performance options, it is set to make a mark in the electric SUV segment.
