IKEA Egypt partners with Paymob to streamline payment options during purchases

IKEA Egypt has announced a partnership with Paymob, a leading financial services enabler in MENA and Pakistan, to make its products more accessible to a wider range of consumers across Egypt. The partnership aims to offer flexible and modern payment solutions that cater to various customer preferences, thereby facilitating easier and more efficient transactions.

While the exact payment options introduced by IKEA have not been disclosed, Paymob's expertise in point-of-sale (POS) and digital payment acquisition services suggests that these methods will include advanced digital payment technologies. The new payment options are expected to include digital wallets, easy payment plans, consumer finance options, and traditional bank cards, among others.

Thomas Sirguey, Retail Country Manager at Al Futtaim Egypt, expressed that IKEA is constantly looking for ways to make its products more affordable and accessible to a wide range of consumers, particularly those with unique financial needs. He added that the new payment options are designed to cater to these needs, providing greater flexibility and control over spending for IKEA customers.

Gillan Shaaban, Paymob's CCO, stated that they are proud IKEA chose Paymob for its new payment options in Egypt. Shaaban also noted that Paymob's security system powers the trusted infrastructure for IKEA's new payment options in Egypt, ensuring a secure and seamless shopping experience for customers.

With this partnership, IKEA is positioning itself as a retailer that truly understands and caters to the unique needs and preferences of Egyptian consumers.
