The annual Sea Otter Classic, held on and around the Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California, played host to the unveiling of several exciting new products in the cycling world.

Wahoo's ELEMNT ROAM 3 and ELEMNT BOLT 3

Starting May 6th, cyclists can get their hands on Wahoo's latest additions to their cycling computer line-up – the ELEMNT ROAM 3 and ELEMNT BOLT 3. The ELEMNT BOLT 3, the smallest and lightest of the bunch, offers aerodynamics and precision for performance-focused riders. It boasts a larger, high-contrast 2.3" display, increased compatibility with third-party apps and services, Wahoo's new Ride to Ride dashboard, and a battery life of up to 20 hours.

Wahoo's TRACKR RADAR

Also making its debut at the Sea Otter Classic was Wahoo's new radar rear light, the TRACKR RADAR. This innovative device provides vehicle detection, visibility, and acts as a brake light, connecting and integrating with most Bluetooth or ANT+ bike computers on the market. It can provide up to 20 hours of use and reduces its luminosity to conserve battery power when no vehicles are detected.

Allen Racks Smart Suction Bike Rack

Allen Racks introduced the Smart Suction Bike Rack, a suction-mount bike rack with Bluetooth-enabled sensors, an app for monitoring suction pressure at each mounting point, compatibility with a wide range of cars and RVs, an adjustable tray for different wheelbase lengths, support for both quick-release and thru-axle forks, a built-in locking cable for theft protection, and a capacity of up to 35lbs. The Smart Suction Bike Rack is currently on pre-sale.

Morelle e-Bike

Morelle, a new e-bike brand, made waves with their promise of revolutionizing urban cycling. Their debut model, expected to be released with deliveries starting in early 2026, features a battery that charges from empty to full in under 15 minutes using a standard outlet. This significant improvement over the typical 2-6 hour charge time for most e-bikes sets Morelle apart. The bike, which weighs approximately 30 lbs, also boasts a sleek and lightweight design, resembling a traditional road bike with the battery mostly hidden.

CADEX Amp 3D Saddle

In saddle news, CADEX announced the release of their new Amp 3D saddle. This innovative design replaces the high-elasticity "Particle Flow" padding with a 3D-printed gyroid structure for targeted support.

Mavic Hubs

Mavic hubs also saw an update, with the introduction of a removable silencer that can be removed to make the hub louder or quieter. The process of removing the silencer takes less than 30 seconds.

The Sea Otter Classic, North America's largest cycling festival, drew over 74,000 attendees and hosted 12 amateur and elite races, making it a significant event for the cycling community. With these new products and innovations, it's an exciting time for cyclists and e-bike enthusiasts alike.

Smart home devices and technology took center stage outside the cycling world during the Sea Otter Classic. Allen Racks introduced the Smart Suction Bike Rack, equipped with Bluetooth-enabled sensors and integrating with various bike computers, resembling a fusion of cycling gadgets and smart home technologies. Additionally, sports enthusiasts will be intrigued by Morelle's foray into electric bikes, promising a future where e-bike batteries charge from empty to full in under 15 minutes, a significant leap from the standard 2-6 hours, making it akin to charging a tech gadget rather than a sports equipment.
