Dongfeng eπ Technology Unveils Ambitious Electrification Plans
Dongfeng eπ Technology, a Chinese automotive company, is making significant strides in the electrified and intelligent vehicle market. Operating under two primary brand pillars - Dongfeng eπ and Dongfeng Fengshen - the company has merged its eπ (Yipai), Fengshen, and Nano sub-brands to strengthen its position.

To achieve this, Dongfeng eπ Technology is developing a new electric platform that incorporates cutting-edge technology, such as a 1,700V silicon carbide power module, a peak 12C charging rate, and a high-speed 30,000 rpm motor.

They plan to launch advanced technology platforms, restructure their brand, introduce multiple new products, expand overseas, and form a strategic partnership with Huawei. By 2026, Dongfeng eπ Technology aims to develop solid-state electric vehicles (EVs) with 1000V platforms, significantly improving battery performance and charging speed.
Currently, their eπ 007 platform underpins models like the Nissan N7 EV, enabling flexible market adaptation and global rollout. The brand has already introduced the eπ 007 sedan and the larger eπ 008 EREV SUVs, priced competitively in China, with pre-sales underway.
In terms of products, the eπ 008 EREV SUV offers a range of up to 1,300 km, and the Dongfeng Fengshen L8, a five-seat SUV, boasts a 248 km electric range and a combined driving range of up to 2,245 km, powered by Dongfeng's Mach hybrid system.

By 2027, Dongfeng eπ Technology plans to introduce over 30 international models, supporting both left- and right-hand drive markets. The 2026 eπ 008 SUV, an updated version, includes upgraded materials, new seat functions, and a cockpit powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon SA8295P chip.
Dongfeng Fengshen brand plans to launch or update at least two small to mid-sized models per year, with a total of 10 models by 2028. The pricing for the 2026 eπ 008 ranges from 173,600 yuan to 190,600 yuan (approx. 23,900 to 26,200 USD), offered as a limited-time launch price.
