NIO ET7: A New Electric Sedan Coming to Germany in 2025

The NIO ET7, a highly anticipated electric sedan, is set to make its debut in the German market next year, marking NIO's first model in the region. The ET7 is scheduled to start sales in 2022, with deliveries expected from Q1 of the same year.

Powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, the ET7 boasts an impressive combined output of 480 kW (644 HP) and a peak torque of 850 Nm. With dimensions of 5098 x 1987 x 1505 mm, this all-wheel-drive sedan has a length of more than 5 meters, making it a spacious and powerful vehicle.

The ET7 is based on NIO's NT 3.0 platform, which supports advanced battery technology and autonomous driving systems. The car is equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR and NIO's AQUILA Super Sensing System, ensuring a safe and smooth driving experience. The ET7 also supports battery swap technology, enabling quick changing of batteries within minutes.

The ET7 comes with three battery pack options: 70kWh, 100kWh, and 150kWh. As per NEDC, the ET7 with a 100kWh battery pack has a range of 700 KM. The base variant of the ET7 will cost 448,000 Yuan (USD 69,185), while the middle variant starts from 506,000 yuan (USD 78,142). The top model of the ET7 will start from 526,000 yuan (USD 81,230).

The ET7 is expected to rival models like the Tesla Model S. It has been spied on the roads without camouflage for the first time, indicating that it is getting closer to its release date. However, the exact release date in Germany is yet to be officially declared.

It's worth noting that the ET7 has a drag coefficient of 0.208, making it the second most aerodynamic EV globally. This, along with its advanced technology and impressive specifications, positions the ET7 as a strong competitor in the electric vehicle market.

For the latest details on the NIO ET7, stay tuned for updates from NIO Day 2025, which is expected to be held around September 2025.
