Join the bike tour hosted by Smart City Arnsberg and SGV BNE Regional Centre in Arnsberg!
On the 26th of September, the Climate Smart Ride 2025, a free bike tour, will begin at the SGV Youth Hostel in Arnsberg, as part of the BNE Action Days 2025. This event is organised by the Fortbildungszentrum für Technik und Umwelt (FTU) as part of the education for sustainable development program mentioned in the event schedule at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
The tour, which covers approximately 27 kilometers with about 380 meters of elevation gain, showcases various stations where Arnsberg collects, processes, and visualizes climate data. Stations include weather stations, flood sensors, and river renaturation projects.
Participants are encouraged to use e-bikes, but regular bicycles are also welcome. Expert guidance will be provided throughout the tour to explain background information and connections. Modern technology and sustainability are emphasized throughout the Climate Smart Ride.
The tour ends at the Arnsberg City Lab, concluding in a sociable atmosphere. The event will feature sustainable snacks, making it an environmentally-friendly experience.
