Kentucky Teens Can Now Book Driver's Permit Tests Online
Kentucky's driver's permit and written test appointments are now bookable online. Starting today, 15-year-olds can secure slots via the Kentucky State Police website. This change follows the signing of House Bill 15 by Governor Andy Beshear on July 20, 2021.
Applicants must first gather necessary documents such as proof of identity, Social Security, and a School Compliance Verification Form. They can also prepare by studying the Kentucky Driver Manual, available online. Appointments are in high demand and are released weekly on weekdays at 8 a.m. ET. Those who fail the written test can schedule a retake online. House Bill 15 extends the permit holding period for eligible drivers but keeps the licensing age requirement unchanged.
Kentucky's driver's license applicants now enjoy the convenience of online appointment booking. The new system, activated following House Bill 15, allows 15-year-olds to schedule their permit and written test appointments digitally. Applicants are reminded to gather required documents and study the driver's manual before their appointments.
