Li Auto Unveils i6 SUV: 500km Range in 10 Minutes
Li Auto is set to unveil the i6, a five-seat SUV, on September 26. The company has big plans for charging infrastructure and battery technology to support this new model.
The i6 will offer two powertrain options: a 250kW rear-wheel-drive single motor or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system (150kW + 250kW). To power these systems, Li Auto has chosen 5C LFP batteries from either CATL or Sunwoda, mounted on an 800V platform. This setup promises a remarkable range of 500km from just a 10-minute charge.
The i6 boasts a spacious interior, with a 3.0m wheelbase and over 3.3m of usable cabin space, despite its compact exterior dimensions of 4.95m in length. Despite the mystery surrounding the battery supplier for the i6, Li Auto is moving forward with ambitious plans to build 4,000 supercharging stations by the end of 2025.
Li Auto's i6, set to launch on September 26, promises impressive performance and range, thanks to its advanced battery technology. The company's plans for extensive charging infrastructure will support this new model and enhance the Li Auto experience.
