Many Siberian residents favor employing digital aides to safeguard their children.

Folks in Siberia are strongly advocating for the utilization of digital assistants to keep kids safe online.

A survey conducted by VTB in preparation for Children's Day, celebrated on June 1st, uncovered that an overwhelming 85% of Siberians endorse the idea of using digital assistants in this capacity.

More than a quarter of Siberians (27%) have already embraced existing market solutions or are open to adopting them. Another 32% of survey respondents also stated their occasional use of digital assistants for child protection. Meanwhile, 26% expressed an interest in using digital assistants but are oblivious to suitable market solutions.

Russians also recognize the advantages of using digital assistants as educational tools, aiding children in skill development. Approximately 79% of Russians are either currently using or planning to use AI assistants for these purposes. However, 21% of respondents believe that family members, educators, teachers, and tutors should be the primary influencers in a child's education, deeming digital assistants unnecessary.

Digital assistants can also serve as engaging conversation partners and valuable sources of information, according to 88% of surveyed Russians. On the other hand, 12% advocate for restrained use of digital services, with family members, educators, peers, and other sources being the primary providers of new knowledge.

Maxim Konovalikhine, Senior Vice President of VTB and Head of the Data Analysis and Modeling Department, commented, "Digital assistants, particularly those capable of solving various tasks, especially in searching and analyzing vast amounts of information, are becoming increasingly popular worldwide."

The survey was conducted in May 2025 in cities with populations exceeding 100,000. A total of 1,500 respondents participated in the research.

Intriguingly, half of the bank's clients may soon be receiving services utilizing neurotechnology. However, there is currently no specific information available regarding the application of neurotechnology in banking services within Siberia or Russia. Neurotechnology is rapidly evolving globally within fields like non-invasive brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) and neurotechnology platforms for medical and research purposes[2][3][5].

In the context of technology and banking, the global trend is towards digital-only banking and cloud operations, but this doesn't necessarily imply neurotechnology specifically[1]. If neurotechnology is being used in banking within Siberia or Russia, it would likely be part of broader digital transformation efforts, but detailed information is scarce from the available sources.

The integration of artificial-intelligence-based digital assistants in child safety measures is broadly supported by Siberians, with 85% endorsing their use. Moreover, half of the bank's clients might soon benefit from services employing neurotechnology, although the specifics of its application in Siberian or Russian banking services remain unclear.
