Maserati reveals its powerful 621-HP MCPura at Goodwood event
The Italian automotive brand Maserati has revealed its latest creation, the MCPURA, which will be available in both coupe and convertible (Cielo) forms. Orders for this exciting new supercar began in July 2025, with deliveries expected to start in December 2025.
Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine named "Nettuno," the MCPURA boasts an impressive 621 horsepower and 538 pounds-feet of torque. Pairing this powerful engine with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission ensures smooth and swift acceleration. The MCPURA can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds and has a top speed above 202 mph.
The MCPURA's design is inspired by the GT2 Stradale, featuring a sharper version of Maserati's iconic 'shark nose,' new vortex generators, additional venting channels, and a fresh rear diffuser. These changes aim to reduce lift and boost downforce without increasing drag, resulting in a more aerodynamic and efficient supercar.
Maserati offers an 11-color palette for the MCPURA, including exclusive hues like Ai Aqua Rainbow, Devil Orange, and Grigio Incognito. Devil Orange, a new shade created as a homage to Maria Teresa De Filippis, will be a standout option for those seeking a unique touch. Customization options are also available through Maserati's Fuoriserie Program, offering 30 more hues.
The MCPURA's interior features Alcantara and carbon fiber materials, providing a luxurious yet sporty ambiance. The convertible version of the MCPURA, the Cielo, features a retractable glass roof that opens and closes in just 12 seconds. The roof uses smartglass technology, allowing it to transform from opaque to clear with a button press.
Only about 400 units of the MCPURA will be produced worldwide, with 120 units allocated for the U.S. The MCPURA's engine is rated for 621 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque, making it a formidable addition to any collection.
Masserati design boss Klaus Busse says MCPURA stands for pure emotional energy. The MCPURA is described as "pure speed, pure luxury, and pure passion." The MCPURA is assembled at the Maserati plant in Modena, Italy, and will make its debut today at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
For those interested in ordering the Maserati MCPURA, orders are open now. The pricing for the MCPURA has not been announced yet but is expected to be revealed closer to the delivery date.
