Mesa/Boogie Revives Classic Tones with Mark IIC+ HRG Amp Head and 1x12 Vintage Thiele Cabinet Reissues

Mesa/Boogie has introduced reissues of two classic pieces, the Mark IIC+ HRG Tube Amp Head and the 1x12 Vintage Thiele Cabinet. These tributes to vintage favourites give modern players the chance to experience the distinctive tones that made the originals so highly regarded.

The Mark IIC+ HRG Tube Amp Head is a 100-watt powerhouse, featuring Rhythm and Lead channels driven by four 6L6 tubes and five 12AX7s, with a silicon rectifier. It maintains the original's bold authority, maximum headroom, tight-tracking low end, and detailed clarity. The reissue also includes built-in reverb, a graphic EQ, and an effects loop, along with dedicated Master Volume controls and footswitchability for both channels.

Famously associated with the original IIC+, guitarist Mike Landau has praised the amp's tone. John Petrucci, another notable musician, favoured the Mark IIC+ HRG for its high-powered output and tweakable EQ. The reissue is priced at $3,599.

Accompanying the amp head is the 1x12 Vintage Thiele Cabinet, offering an 8 Ohm impedance and parallel out. Available in Black Vinyl or Wicker grille options, the cabinet is priced at $799. Both the head and cab are available to order now.

Mesa/Boogie's reissues of the Mark IIC+ HRG Tube Amp Head and 1x12 Vintage Thiele Cabinet bring the classic tones of yesteryear to modern players. With their powerful features and faithful recreations of the originals, these new offerings are set to inspire a new generation of musicians.
