Microsoft collaborates with Univers to enhance AI for energy conservation in data centers
Microsoft and Univers, a global leader in AI for energy management, have announced a partnership to drive sustainable energy solutions in data centers. This collaboration aims to improve cooling efficiency, renewable energy integration, and intelligent operations worldwide.
Univers, which manages 788GW of renewables and boasts a global network of over 1,200 customers, will integrate its award-winning EnOSTM Ark platform with Microsoft's data and AI services. This integration will leverage Microsoft's AI cloud capabilities to optimize data center operations and reduce energy consumption.
Microsoft has a strong commitment to data center sustainability, with goals to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2025 and carbon-negative status by 2030. The company is innovating in cooling and backup power technologies, such as liquid immersion cooling and hydrogen fuel cells, to balance energy and water demands.
