Microsoft Unveils Crocs Shoes Inspired by Windows XP, Complete with Nostalgic Charm Accessories
In an unexpected twist, tech giant Microsoft has ventured into the world of fashion with a limited-edition collaboration with Crocs. The Windows XP-themed Crocs, featuring the iconic "Bliss" wallpaper print, are currently available for pre-order, but only for Microsoft employees through internal channels.
The pre-orders for these unique Crocs began in early August 2025, and while a public worldwide launch is planned, Microsoft has yet to announce a specific date for when the general public will be able to purchase them.
The limited-edition Crocs boast the "Bliss" wallpaper print across the upper and soles, and come with six Microsoft-themed Jibbitz charms. These charms include the MSN logo, Internet Explorer icon, mouse pointer, and the much-loved Clippy assistant. The Crocs also come with a matching Bliss-printed drawstring bag and retail at $80 during the employee pre-order phase.
The "Bliss" wallpaper, originally used by Microsoft in Windows XP, is one of the most viewed photographs in the world. Taken by Charles O'Rear in Sonoma County in 1998, the hillside where the photograph was taken is now a vineyard.
This release comes after Microsoft released the Surface Laptop 7 50th Anniversary Edition this week, a variant of the Surface Laptop 7 built to celebrate Microsoft's 50th anniversary. However, unlike the Crocs, the 50th Surface Laptop 7 was never made available for sale publicly.
Jibbitz, attachments for Crocs that can be used to customize and stylize them, are a fun addition to these limited-edition Crocs. Inside the bag, there are six Jibbitz inspired by Microsoft products like Internet Explorer, Clippy, and MSN.
While these Windows XP-themed Crocs are currently only available to Microsoft employees, the public can look forward to a worldwide launch in the future. With a unique design and a nostalgic touch, these Crocs are sure to be a hit with tech enthusiasts and fashion lovers alike.
