Mondi Unveils Sustainable Packaging Innovations: Ad/Vantage Smooth Brown & Metalvac Seal Oxygen Barrier
Mondi, a global leader in packaging and paper, has introduced two innovative products to enhance its sustainable packaging portfolio. The company has launched Ad/Vantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible kraft paper and expanded its Metalvac range with the Metalvac Seal Oxygen Barrier. Both products aim to provide superior performance and sustainability for various packaging needs.
Ad/Vantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible is designed for industrial and consumer packaging, offering exceptional protection and efficient conversion. It boasts superior printability compared to natural brown papers, thanks to its smoother surface texture. The paper is particularly suitable for form-fill-and-seal (FFS) packaging, ensuring secure containment of sharp-edged or heavy items.
In addition, Mondi has expanded its Metalvac range with the Metalvac Seal Oxygen Barrier. This metallized barrier paper is designed for technical performance, industrial efficiency, and sustainability. It provides excellent barrier properties, making it ideal for packaging applications that require protection against oxygen and moisture.
Last month, Mondi also revealed the re/cycle PaperPlus Bag Advanced, a paper bag for humidity-sensitive powders that contains 60% less plastic than conventional solutions. The new paper offers exceptional strength, extensibility, and high puncture resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It is made from responsibly sourced fresh fibres and is recyclable in EU paper recycling streams.
