MTS WebServices (MWS), part of the MTS group, unveils their public cloud platform, MWS CloudPlatform, in preview mode. This revolutionary offer caters to businesses and developers of all sizes.
MWS CloudPlatform is an ecosystem of cloud services, encompassing infrastructure and network services, data storage and processing tools, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions, and more. Initially, it provides object storage, virtual machines and disks, a content delivery network (CDN) service, virtual cloud networks (VPC), and additional services. By the year's end, 15 services will be available, increasing the platform's versatility and applicability to Russian companies and developers.
The future additions to MWS CloudPlatform will include solutions for developers and IT departments of businesses. These include management for Docker images and Kubernetes clusters, databases like ClickHouse, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, a load balancer, and a key management solution.
MWS CloudPlatform enables businesses to store, process, and analyze data of any size with unlimited scalability. It can be used for a wide range of tasks such as hosting websites, e-commerce platforms, internal IT systems, and creating disaster recovery solutions.
Built on proprietary virtualization technologies, MWS CloudPlatform offers vendor-independent management, from hardware and communication channels to code. It includes a unified secure access management system, user-friendly management and automation interfaces, and a focus on cybersecurity. The platform will be deployed in geographically distributed Tier III data centers to ensure high availability.
"Our mission is to build one of Russia's largest bigtechs, MTS WebServices. Achieving this goal demands the synergy of various technologies. One of our key areas is the cloud. Without a robust virtual infrastructure, we can't launch most advanced services successfully. Additionally, MWS CloudPlatform will strengthen our position in the cloud market. Therefore, we are heavily investing in its development," said Igor Zaroobinsky, CEO of MWS Cloud and Vice President of Infrastructure Development at MTS.
