NAHB Student Competition Returns to IBS 2026: Your Chance to Secure Dream Jobs

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Student Competition is set to take place during the International Builders' Show (IBS) in Orlando. The event, scheduled for Feb. 16 to 18, 2026, offers students a chance to secure their dream jobs and gain valuable experience in the industry.

Students can compete in four categories: Production Home Build, Custom/Small Home Build, Associate programs, and Secondary programs. The competition involves submitting a management proposal for real construction situations, honing their skills in a practical setting.

Zainab Sanusi, a participant from Kennesaw State University, credited the competition with helping her land her dream job at Bedrock Homes. Similarly, Emma Dickson from Penn State University found it beneficial for career preparation, even without prior internships or on-the-job experience.

The scholarship application for the National Housing Endowment IBS Scholarship is currently open. This financial assistance is available for those needing help to attend the show. The deadline to register for the competition is Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025.

The NAHB Student Competition provides a platform for students to showcase their skills and gain a competitive edge in the industry. With the next event just around the corner, students are encouraged to register and take advantage of this opportunity to secure their future in the housing sector.
