NBCSN Coming to YouTube TV This Autumn
NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) is set to launch on YouTube TV later this autumn. This move comes after Google, through YouTube TV, acquired a new long-term license to provide NBCUniversal's full range of television news, movies, sports shows, and events.
The partnership between NBCUniversal and Google has been strengthened with a long-term distribution agreement. This deal will bring several benefits to viewers:
Films and TV shows from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will be available for purchase or rental on Google TV, YouTube TV, and YouTube. Additionally, Peacock's availability has been extended across Google's Android platforms, including Google Play and Google TV, for multiple years. This means users can enjoy NBCUniversal's full portfolio of networks on YouTube TV for an extended period.
Furthermore, viewers can expect to see short-form clips, highlights, and shows from NBCUniversal's premium programming on YouTube. In the coming months, Peacock will also be available as a subscription through YouTube Primetime Channels. Moreover, library movies from NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution will be available for streaming via SVoD on YouTube Premium and AVoD through YouTube Free Primetime Content.
The launch of NBCSN on YouTube TV and the extended availability of Peacock across Google's platforms are part of a broader strategy to provide users with more content options. This partnership between NBCUniversal and Google ensures that viewers will have access to a wide range of entertainment and news programming for years to come.
