The event, hosted by Nintendo, featured the appearance of Shigeru Miyamoto who gave a sneak peek at an upcoming movie. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was revealed to celebrate Mario's 40th anniversary, with the majority of the cast from the first movie returning for the new one.

In addition to the movie, Mario Tennis Fever, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, and a new Fire Emblem title were announced as upcoming first-party titles for the Nintendo Switch 2. The new Fire Emblem game, titled "Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave," is scheduled for release in 2026.

Donkey Kong Bananza was released as an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2, joining Mario Kart World, which was the only exclusive title at the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2.

Resident Evil Requiem is also confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2 platform, adding to the variety of AAA third-party games coming to its platform. Hades 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this month, further expanding the game catalogue.

The lack of new games initially for the Nintendo Switch 2 was a concern for many, but this has been addressed in the most recent Nintendo Direct. The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct has delivered a new catalogue of games, which is a blessing for consumers.
