Nizhny Novgorod Speeds Up Free Income Certificates for School Meals
Nizhny Novgorod residents can now obtain a certificate of average family income faster and for free through the city's milk kitchens. The service aims to facilitate school meal provisions for eligible children.
The process has been streamlined with three main milk kitchens and 45 issuance points across different districts. Pediatricians issue the certificates, and applications can be submitted online via the 'Gosuslugi' portal, eliminating the need for additional documents.
The range of products offered in milk kitchens has expanded to include natural cheeses, yogurts, and drinks based on milk serum. The issuance time for the certificate has been reduced from 18 to 7 days. Residents can also use preliminary registration to receive services when visiting Multi-Function Centres (MFC) offices.
The new system benefits families registered with social protection, with incomes below the minimum wage receiving certificates on the same day. Children under one year old, and those aged two with incomes not exceeding the minimum wage, are eligible for free meals. The expansion of milk kitchens and streamlined processes aim to improve access to these services for Nizhny Novgorod residents.
