Sono Group and Hofmeister & Meincke Collaborate to Make Public Transportation More Sustainable

Sono Group N.V. (OTCQB: SEVCF), a company on a mission to make every vehicle solar, and Hofmeister & Meincke, a leading wholesaler of commercial vehicle parts and vehicle construction components in Germany, have announced their collaboration to promote climate-friendly mobility.

The focus of this partnership is the Solar Bus Kit, a retrofit solution designed to reduce diesel consumption and lower CO2 emissions for public transportation buses. The Solar Bus Kit includes lightweight, semi-flexible solar panels that integrate seamlessly onto bus roofs, optimized for common 12-meter bus models like the Mercedes-Benz Citaro and MAN Lion's City.

Each Solar Bus Kit can save up to 1250 liters of diesel and up to 3.3 tons of CO2 per bus per year. This collaboration aims to extend the range, reduce fuel costs, and lower CO2 emissions, making public transportation a more sustainable choice.

Denis Azhar, Managing Director of Sono Group, expressed his excitement about collaborating with Hofmeister & Meincke. He stated, "We are thrilled to join forces with Hofmeister & Meincke to bring our disruptive solar technology to the public transportation sector. Together, we can make a significant impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable mobility."

Hofmeister & Meincke, part of the FRICKE Group with a total of 84 locations and over 3,700 full-time employees, is a reliable partner for commercial vehicle workshops, vehicle manufacturers, and industry throughout Germany. With 18 locations nationwide, it is one of the leading wholesalers on the German market for commercial vehicle parts and vehicle construction components.

Both companies will be attending the InnoTrans 2024 and IAA Transportation 2024 international trade fairs for traffic technology and the transportation sector to showcase their collaboration and the Solar Bus Kit.
