Pearson CEO Leads Town Hall on Future Learning, Opens ETIH Innovation Awards 2026
Pearson's CEO Omar Abbosh recently led a town hall meeting in Hoboken, expressing pride in the team's role in shaping the future of learning. The event, focused on future-oriented conversations, also marked the opening of entries for the prestigious ETIH Innovation Awards 2026.
The awards, now open to organizations across the UK, the Americas, and internationally, celebrate excellence in global education technology. Abbosh highlighted a shift in Pearson's conversations, moving from being inward-facing to customer-focused and future-oriented. The town hall discussions centered on customers and the impact of artificial intelligence on various industries, including a recent venture partnership between SAP and the Sky Computing Lab at UC Berkeley.
Winners and finalists will receive recognition in the first print magazine of the ETIH Innovation Awards, to be distributed at BETT 2026. The event explored the power of learning as a skill and different ways of designing learning experiences, with a focus on workforce development, AI integration, and innovative learning solutions across all stages of education.
Entries for the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026 close on 14 January 2026, with winners to be announced on the same day. Pearson's commitment to future-oriented conversations and customer-focused innovation is evident in their leadership role in the education technology sector.
