Google Unveils Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL: A Closer Look
Google has recently announced the specifications for its upcoming smartphones, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from these new devices.
Display and Resolution
The Pixel 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch+ display, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL boasts a larger screen size, though the exact dimensions have not been disclosed. Both models will sport LTPO OLED displays with adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1 to 120 Hz, ensuring smooth performance and power efficiency.
Camera System
Both the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will be equipped with a triple camera setup. The system includes a 50MP primary lens, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The cameras are further enhanced by Google's Gemini AI, enabling cinematic, stable shots in high-motion, low-light scenes, and up to 100x video zoom. The front camera of both devices boasts a 42MP resolution.
Processor and Storage
Powering the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL is the Google Tensor G5 SoC, featuring improved AI capabilities and security with the Titan M2 coprocessor. Both models will come with 16GB RAM, and storage options range from 128GB to 1TB across the device versions.
Battery and Charging
The Pixel 10 Pro is equipped with a 4,870 mAh battery and supports wired charging up to 30W and wireless charging using the Qi2 standard at 15W. The Pixel 10 Pro XL, on the other hand, boasts a 5,200 mAh battery and faster charging capabilities, with wired charging up to 45W and wireless charging using the Qi2 standard at 25W.
Additional Features
Both devices will feature AI-powered image stabilization and processing, super steady video, and 20x video zoom. The Pixel 10 Pro will also have a smaller battery due to the presence of an evaporative cooling camera.
Availability
Pre-orders for the new devices will begin immediately after the official announcement, with sales starting on August 28. Google is also rumoured to be releasing magnetic accessories called Pixelsnap, including a MagSafe-like device, a dock, and a vertical smartphone stand.
