Racing Venue Makes Technology Switch: Bluewater Technologies Selected to Improve Scoring Display at Indy's Pagoda Tower

🤖 Yo! Let's talk tech, hombres y mujeres. Wixom, Mich - Bluewater Technologies just dropped some serious upgrades at the Indy 500's famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway! They replaced those old, boring, energy-sucking bulbs with radiant, energy-efficient LED technology on the Pagoda Scoring Ribbon, damn son.

Scott Schoenberger, Bluewater's managing partner, said it best: "We're not just modernizing the venue, we're honoring its heritage and cranking up the fan experience to eleven!"

Bluewater's been working their magic at the IMS for a while now, and these upgrades are just the latest in a long line of awesome improvements. Here's a quick breakdown of what's new:

  • Bluewater teamed up with K-WAV to retrofit the 92-foot-tall scoring pylon, replacing it with stackable LED cabinets that'll make scores clear as day1.
  • They installed a 22’ x 12’ LED board at the start/finish line and a snazzy 42’ x 24’ LED board that fans can appreciate from multiple grandstands1.
  • To squash those pesky visibility blind spots, they added 27 badass LED boards in the paddock seating area1.
  • On top of that, they built a 100-foot-wide, 18-foot-tall LED media wall at the base of the Pagoda, serving up dynamic race content, analytics, and all things Indy 500 in the Pagoda Plaza1.

Now, every seat at the Speedway promises to deliver an immersive, jaw-dropping experience, keeping fans locked in from start to finish1.

These upgrades will be on full display during this year's Indy 500, kicking off at 12:45 p.m. ET Sunday (May 25)3.
