Innovative CEOs Drive Change: Martin Ticinese and Gaston Remy Honoured

Two influential business leaders, Martin Ticinese and Gaston Remy, have been recognised for their innovative and transformative leadership styles in the fifth edition of the innovation award organised by VISA and a specific website.

Ticinese, the president of Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes, and Remy, the founder and CEO of Nuqlea, were honoured in the Innovative CEOs category. The award recognises consistency in approach and a permanent innovation mindset in its recipients.

Ticinese, known for his long-term vision, continuous learning, and openness to other perspectives, characterises himself by having a clear business vision, a permanent state of learning and curiosity focused on solving problems, and a collaborative approach. He embodies trust, honesty, and resilience, values that represent the company.

Remy, who left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur, driven by the logic of change, admires leaders like Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Yvon Chouinard of Patagonia, and Paula Altavilla (Schneider Electric) for their leadership styles. He believes in thinking differently and falling in love with problems, not solutions. Remy characterises himself by the permanent search for authenticity and purpose.

The jury for the distinction includes Gabriela Renaudo, Group Country Manager of VISA Argentina and Southern Cone, Jose Del Rio, Director of Contents of the specific website, Martina Rua, journalist specialized in innovation, Andrés Hatum, PHD of Warwick UK and professor of the Business School of the Universidad di Tella, and Nicolás Pimentel, founder and director of Becoming Mode + Venture Partner in MrPink VC.

The event will take place on October 23, 2024, and interested parties can register at premioalainnovacion.nuestrositio web.

Innovative CEOs drive and accompany change by embracing innovation, adaptability, and customer-centricity, while motivating their teams through visionary leadership, boldness, persistence, and clear purpose. They cultivate a culture of creativity, risk-taking, and continuous learning, empowering employees to experiment and grow.

Key qualities and strategies include embracing innovation and adaptability, a customer-centric focus, psychological traits, visionary leadership, persistence and courage, and the ability to lead by example, drive change, have a clear objective, work in a team, and learn to ask questions.

Gastón Remy, founder and CEO of Nuqlea, was the other leader recognised. Remy believes that future leaders will be those who cultivate human and authentic aspects, prioritise connection and purpose, and seek fulfillment rather than superficial success.

Nuqlea is a digital platform that seeks to modify the paradigm of the construction materials market in Latin America. Martin Ticinese considers Marcos Galperin, Fernando Polack, Mario Pergolini, and Gaston Remy as business role models who inspire him to think differently.
