Recognized Winners in the Cyber Risk Awards 2025, announced by Zywave
The 12th annual Cyber Risk Awards, hosted by Zywave, took place at the prestigious Gotham Hall in New York City on June 12, 2025. The event, now a mainstay in the cyber risk industry, honours individuals and companies at the forefront of the sector.
This year, CFC emerged as a standout winner, taking home three trophies. The company was awarded the Cyber Safety & Loss Control Team of the Year, Claims Team of the Year, and recognition for Michael Phillips in an individual category. Eden Graham from CFC was highly commended as a Young Claims Professional, and Kelby Warner was honoured with the Rising Star 2025 award.
Nick Economidis of Crum & Forster also made a significant impact, receiving the Cyber Visionary Award.
The awards recognised categories such as team performance in claims and cyber safety, rising talent, and individual visionary leadership in cyber risk. Other notable winners included AXA XL, who took home the Cyber Claims Team (Insurer or MGA) of the Year award, and S-RM, who won the Cyber Incident Response Team of the Year award.
In addition to these, several individuals and teams were recognised across various categories. Rebecca Lumb of Beazley won the Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year - Actuary/Modeler, while Lindsey Maher of CFC won the Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year - London/EMEA. Stu Panensky of Pierson Ferdinand won the Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year - Attorney, and Michael Phillips of CFC won the Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year - The Americas.
The Cyber Newcomer of the Year award went to the International Women's Cyber Alliance, and the Cyber Reinsurer of the Year was awarded to Munich Re. The Cyber MGA of the Year was Cowbell, the Cyber Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year was Gallagher Re, the Cyber Law Firm of the Year was Mullen Coughlin, and the Cyber Wholesale Broking Team of the Year was CRC.
Marsh was named the Cyber Retail Broking Team of the Year, and Bitsight was recognised as the Cyber Technology Provider of the Year.
