Renault Trucks Demonstrates Electric Trucks with SideLiner Model for Beverage Transport in 2025
In a collaborative effort, Renault Trucks Switzerland and Orten Vehicle Construction are set to unveil an innovative electric three-axle vehicle project at the NUFAM 2025 event in Karlsruhe, Germany. The event, scheduled from September 25 to 28, 2025, will see the presentation of this groundbreaking vehicle on the joint stand of Renault Trucks and Orten Vehicle Construction.
The electrically powered combination of chassis and body is designed specifically for beverage logistics and is intended to operate there emission-free and quietly. The vehicle features the so-called SideLiner, a body that swings out fully electrically to the side and releases the loading area in a short time. This design offers efficiency and flexibility for the transportation of goods in the beverage industry.
The vehicle on display will be a fully electric, three-axle Renault Trucks E-Tech, equipped with a specially developed body by Orten Vehicle Construction. The body is fitted with the SafeServer system, which allows the side walls of the vehicles to be opened and closed by hand in a short time. This feature ensures quick and easy loading and unloading of goods.
Interestingly, a search for specific details about this joint project at NUFAM 2025 did not yield any results as of June 2024. However, it is possible that this development is a recent one and may not yet be widely publicized. For the latest and detailed specifications, it is recommended to consult official press releases from Renault Trucks, Orten Vehicle Construction, or the official NUFAM 2025 event communications.
In a separate development, Renault Trucks recently handed over 31 trucks to the Feldschlösschen brewery in Rheinfelden, Switzerland. This visit was to celebrate the completion of the delivery, and it marked a continuation of the long-standing cooperation between the two parties.
It's also worth noting that the new mobile brush wash plant "Basic Battery" will be presented by Speedywash at the NUFAM. This plant is not related to the electric vehicle project between Renault Trucks and Orten Vehicle Construction.
Maximilian von Löbbecke, the new managing director of Renault Trucks Germany, recently visited Orten Vehicle Construction in Bernkastel-Kues, reaffirming the continued cooperation between the two companies. The presentation of the electric vehicle project will take place on the outdoor area of the NUFAM.
For those interested in witnessing this exciting collaboration, mark your calendars for NUFAM 2025 in Karlsruhe, Germany, from September 25 to 28, 2025.
