Skytree's DAC Tech Sets New Standard With Stable CO2 Capture

Skytree's innovative direct air capture (DAC) technology has achieved a significant milestone. Its Stratus Alpha unit has consistently captured and liquefied CO2 at beverage-grade standards, outperforming traditional methods and seasonal fluctuations.

Skytree's system stands out with its year-round stability. Unlike other DAC assets that can swing by up to 20% in efficiency, Skytree's technology maintains a steady performance. This consistency is crucial for reliable CO2 supply.

The Stratus Alpha unit has proven its efficiency, capturing up to one tonne of CO2 per day. This is a significant leap from other units like the Cumulus, which can capture up to 30kg/day. Moreover, Skytree's system avoids CO2 losses common in other DAC systems during the capture-to-liquefaction process.

The captured CO2 was liquefied at purity levels of 99.98%, meeting beverage-grade standards. This is a first for DAC technology, demonstrating its potential for industrial applications. The Stratus Alpha unit is designed for larger projects such as industrial greenhouses and e-fuel production.

The Netherlands Pulse Report, now available, provides insights into the Dutch gases market in 2025. It highlights Skytree's achievements, marking a significant evolution from gasworld's long-form reports.

Skytree's Stratus Alpha unit has set a new benchmark for DAC technology. With its stable performance, high capture rate, and beverage-grade CO2 output, it opens doors for wider industrial use. The Netherlands Pulse Report underscores these advancements, offering valuable insights into the evolving gases market.
