Hitting the Cyberdecks All Over Again: Embrace the [Sp4m] SPACEdeck!

Fight off those cyberdeck cravings with the stylish SPACEdeck! This phone-based cyberdeck transforms your Samsung Galaxy S24 into a sleek little laptop, complete with a wireless keyboard. Fret not about finding digital copies of classics like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy." The e-book version is readily available on the Play Store, and while Wikipedia might not be a perfect substitute, it's a darn close alternative.

The SPACEdeck concept is heavily inspired by a 3D-printed phone case for the S24 designed by Digital Proto. With the S24's power rivaling ancient Macs, this setup will likely prove surprisingly handy, especially when paired with Termux to harness the full potential of Linux.

Think modern laptops that bend backwards? The SPACEdeck can rotate its screen 180 degrees when the keyboard isn't needed. In addition, the case supports Nintendo Switch2 joycon integration, but it's still under construction. Modular connection points allow for other accessories as well. Once [Sp4m] is satisfied with the joycon integration, all files will be released, hopefully under a license that permits remixing the design for other phones.

Android-based cyberdecks are a rarity, with most favouring Single-Board Computers (SBCs). Recently, slabtop cyberdecks have gained popularity, but a clamshell design takes the crown when it comes to practicality.

For those interested, you can snag "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" as an e-book on the Play Store directly, eliminating the need for Termux. Search for the book, select it, purchase or download, and read it using the Google Play Books app. No need to fuss with additional software like Termux to access your e-books! Other accessories like eReader covers or tablets can enhance your reading experience, but they are not essential for enjoying your e-books on your Samsung Galaxy S24.

The SPACEdeck, inspired by Digital Proto's 3D-printed S24 case, utilizes the S24's power akin to ancient Macs and Termux for Linux, transforming it into a versatile cyberdeck that supports a rotating screen and Nintendo Switch2 joycon integration. Unlocking the digital version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy" on Google Play Store eliminates the need for additional software like Termux for e-book reading.
