SSL's mixing consoles now incorporate Juenger Audio's flexAI technology platform
Simplified Next-Generation Audio and Dolby Atmos Authoring with SSL and Jünger Audio
Solid State Logic (SSL) and Jünger Audio have teamed up to create a more streamlined next-generation audio authoring workflow. The integration of Jünger Audio's flexAI platform into SSL's System T broadcast mixing consoles simplifies Dolby Atmos productions and Next Generation Audio (NGA) authoring.
This integration allows broadcasters to seamlessly control object selection and monitor any Dolby Atmos presentation in real time directly from the SSL console surface. It enables real-time switching between different S-ADM Dolby renderer presentations and speaker layouts, and facilitates recalling Jünger Audio’s presets on SSL’s IP-native control surfaces.
The key benefits of this integration include:
- Real-time switching of S-ADM Dolby renderer presentations and speaker layouts directly from the console, reducing complexity for operators managing multiple audio objects and formats during live broadcasts or production.
- Control over object selection and monitoring within the SSL System T environment, enhancing flexibility and precision when mixing immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
- The ability to recall Jünger Audio presets directly within the SSL control surface, speeding up setup and ensuring consistency in complex immersive audio workflows.
The integration is part of SSL’s larger System T ecosystem enhancements, including support for Open Sound Control (OSC) and adoption of external processing platforms for Next Generation Audio tasks. This further eases the handling of complex NGA productions.
Friedemann Kootz, managing director of Jünger Audio, stated that their ability to create Dolby Atmos distribution streams for S-ADM production workflows is well-established. This integration aims to create a more streamlined next-generation audio authoring workflow, supporting the broader adoption of NGA standards and Dolby Atmos distribution workflows.
