Stellantis & Sixt Partner for 250,000 EV Deliveries by 2026
Stellantis and Sixt have inked a significant deal, with the rental car giant set to acquire up to 250,000 vehicles from Stellantis by 2026. The agreement, which includes a mix of city cars, SUVs, and vans from various Stellantis brands, marks a substantial step towards both companies' electric vehicle ambitions.
Sixt aims to have 70 to 90% of its European fleet electric by 2030, and Stellantis is supporting this transition with a range of electric vehicles from brands like Fiat, Jeep, and Peugeot. The first deliveries are expected to commence by the end of the first quarter of 2024, although the exact date remains uncertain.
In addition to the vehicle supply, Stellantis will also provide Sixt with data to help develop new products and services tailored to the rental car market. This collaboration aligns with Stellantis' own goal of achieving 100% electric vehicle sales in Europe and 50% in the U.S. by the end of this decade.
The Stellantis-Sixt partnership is set to reshape both companies' futures, with a significant investment in electric vehicles and innovative data-driven services. As the first vehicles roll out by the end of the first quarter of 2024, the automotive and rental industries will watch closely to see the impact of this strategic alliance.
