Simplifying Text Input on iPhonekeyboards with iOS 13

Smartphones have become our primary computing devices, and as such, typing lengthy messages has become routine for many users. However, when it comes to inserting text at specific points or copying sections, it can be frustrating. Fret not, as the iPhone's keyboard offers a more straightforward solution.
Apple's introduction of iOS 13 brought about significant improvements in cursor movement. Instead of having to manually tap the screen, users can effortlessly move the cursor by simply holding down the space bar and navigating it around the screen. This feature, initially exclusive to iPhones with 3D Touch sensitivity, is now available to all iOS 13 users.
What's more, selecting text has become much easier. Tapping a word twice selects only that word, whereas tapping it three times often marks an entire paragraph. However, when it comes to copying or cutting sentence or word sequences from a longer text, the default selection method can be inconvenient.
To simplify text selection, press and hold the space bar until the letter keys turn gray. Place the cursor at the starting point for the text selection and hold onto the space bar. Now, tap briefly with a second finger on any spot in the grayed-out keyboard area. As you move the finger on the space bar, the iPhone will mark the text from the cursor as selected. Release the space bar when the desired text is selected.
A tip for precision: When placing the cursor, be sure to start the selection directly at a letter, not a space. Otherwise, the preceding part of the sentence may get selected as well.
These keyboard-based enhancements make navigating, selecting, and editing text much more efficient and intuitive in devices running iOS 13 and later.
While recent news focuses on accessibility and language support improvements for keyboards in forthcoming iOS versions, iOS 13 itself introduced notable features such as the trackpad mode on the keyboard, QuickPath Swipe Typing, double-tap to select, and pinch-to-zoom gestures. These improvements make navigating, selecting, and editing text on the iPhone more convenient than ever.
Other forms of technology, such as electrical and electronic equipment like gadgets and smartphones, can benefit from these enhancements as well. For instance, when selecting text on a smartphone, using these new keyboard methods can lead to a more efficient and intuitive experience, especially when copying specific sequences of sentences or words.
