In a significant move towards technological sovereignty, the developer company, Open Mobile Platform, has been actively engaging with local beta-testers in various cities, including Barnaul.

Recently, a meeting was held in Barnaul, where Tatiana Kaznova, head of Aurora OS community development, discussed the growing interest in Russian developments for creating technological sovereignty. The gathering also saw Konstantin Khorov, a senior developer engineer at Open Mobile Platform and a city resident in Barnaul, sharing details about the graphic architecture of the Aurora OS.

The Aurora OS beta-testing program currently involves 650 individuals from various Russian cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Innopolis, Tula, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and many more.

While a comprehensive search for information on the current status, expansion, cities involved, or application process for the Aurora OS beta-testing program yielded no direct results, we can look back at previous instances for some insight.

For instance, the first domestic OS, Aurora, was launched for beta-testing in 16 cities, including Barnaul. A community event for Aurora OS was held at the "Rostelecom" venue in Barnaul, and new beta-testing program candidates in the city received Fplus domestic smartphones R570E and T1100 tablets.

Roman Romanov, a beta-tester from Barnaul, was the first in the Aurora OS beta-testing program's history to receive a tablet for testing. PJSC "Rostelecom," an advertiser for the Aurora OS program, has been actively promoting the program.

Anyone interested in participating in the Aurora OS beta-testing program can apply on the official website. Several new members were welcomed to the Aurora OS beta-testing team in Barnaul, and the most active program participant in the city was presented with an Aurora-based domestic tablet for study.
