Tesvolt Powers Rwanda's Farming Future with 2.68 MWh Lithium Storage System
Tesvolt is set to supply a substantial lithium storage system to an agricultural project in Rwanda's Eastern Province. The 2.68 megawatt-hours (MWh) system, developed by IdeemaSun Energy with BYD's storage solutions, aims to boost local farming yields and enhance the lives of around 2,000 farmers.
The storage system, to be showcased at Intersolar Europe in Munich, will power water pumps during frequent power cuts, ensuring consistent water supply for irrigation. Tesvolt's battery management system, monitoring each cell in real-time, will enable swift detection of faulty cells. The project will utilise 402 Sunny Island chargers from SMA and 134 fully assembled lithium storage systems from Tesvolt, designed to meet the project's rapid power absorption and release demands. Tesvolt's intelligent control system and prismatic-shaped battery cells ensure high charging and discharging speeds, coupled with system longevity.
Tesvolt's 2.68 MWh lithium storage system, tailored for Rwanda's agricultural project, will provide clean, safe backup power, benefiting approximately 2,000 farmers. The system's quick response and robust design, demonstrated at Intersolar Europe, will significantly improve local farming conditions and yields.
