Thomson Unveils Affordable Mini LED TVs in India

Thomson, a leading consumer electronics brand, has expanded its premium TV lineup in India with the launch of two new Mini LED TVs. The TVs, available in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, are equipped with advanced display and audio technologies, aiming to deliver an immersive viewing experience.

Key Features and Specifications ----------------------------------

The Mini QD 4K Mini LED displays on these TVs boast a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, enhanced by a quantum dot colour converter layer for vibrant and accurate colours. With 540 local dimming zones, the TVs promise improved contrast and deep blacks, while support for Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG ensures cinematic HDR content. The TVs can display over 1.1 billion colours and boast a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits, with a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 with local dimming.

The audio system, powered by six speakers including two sky-firing subwoofers, delivers an output of 108W. The TVs also support Dolby Atmos for a surround sound experience.

The TVs run on the latest Google TV, providing voice search, personalised recommendations, and access to over 10,000 apps. Preloaded apps include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and more. The TVs are powered by a MediaTek processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, and offer connectivity options such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Google Assistant, and Chromecast.

Design and Pricing -------------------

The new Mini LED TVs from Thomson are the slimmest smart TVs from the brand to date, with a sleek bezel-less edge-to-edge screen design and a premium metal stand.

The 65-inch model is priced at INR 61,999 (Rs. 64,999 post initial promotional phase), while the 75-inch model is priced at INR 95,999. The TVs will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting July 17, 2025.

Thomson emphasises that these are among the most affordable Mini QD LED TVs in India, and are domestically manufactured with integrated global technology. The pricing is positioned competitively against other Mini QD LED TVs on the market.

Additional Notes ----------------

Thomson's new Mini LED TVs are equipped with features aimed at gamers, including 120Hz MEMC, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). The TVs also support built-in Chromecast and Apple AirPlay.

Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO of SPPL, stated that Thomson's new Mini LED range brings together the best in global display technology, emphasising the domestic manufacturing aspect of the new Mini LED TVs.
