Transformed Foldable Phone Appearance with Clicks' Android Keyboard Case, Echoing the Classic Design of Palm Pilots

Everyone's been claiming the Clicks keyboard case makes an iPhone look like a vintage Blackberry. But now that Clicks is producing device coverings for Android phones, especially foldables, it seems more akin to that Casio secret messenger notebook from my childhood. I can't help but reminisce about that birthday present request. Take a glimpse at the Motorola Razr+ alongside the Clicks keyboard case, and if you squint just a little, you'll catch the resemblance.

Clicks first introduced its physical keyboard case last year, initially for the iPhone 15 Pro and later the iPhone 16 Pro. Now, it's expanding its reach to Android devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S25, Pixel 9, and Pixel 9 Pro (not Pro XL), as well as the unique Moto Razr, which somehow recalls the nostalgic "electronic diary" feel with its keyboard attachment. You'll find a variety of designs to match your phone's brand, ranging from Onyx, black, and Electric blue with gray trim to the vibrant Surge, a yellow and purple number reminiscent of the LA Lakers' colors - perhaps a nod to Google's Senior Vice President of Devices & Services, Rick Osterloh, who's passionately into basketball.

The Clicks keyboard case for Android follows the same blueprint as its iPhone counterpart on the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Galaxy S25. Plug the keyboard into the USB-C port, and it powers up, ready to type. Android's in-built keyboard shortcut settings allow for customization. Moreover, the physical keyboard takes back some screen space, resulting in cleaner screenshots.

The Moto Razr+ version particularly appeals due to its distinctive form factor. After reviewing the different Clicks keyboard case versions on YouTube, the versatility of the Moto Razr + becomes clear - particularly in its use of the cover screen. You barely need to open the phone if you don't want to, thanks to the Clicks case, and there's something to consider at the $130 price point.

Could it be the right time for me to give Clicks' keyboard case a go? We currently have one for the iPhone 15 Pro, but I'm a thumb-first typist, and it was challenging when my nail art sessions became frequent. But times change, and with the keyboard case's compatibility with folding phones, the future seems bright. Once they launch versions for Samsung's Z Flip phones, I might just have to jump on the bandwagon.

Pre-order the Pixel 9 version of Clicks first in April, followed by the Moto Razr and then the Galaxy S25. Pre-orders will be open until March 21 for a discounted rate of $100 before the price increase to $130.

The expansion of Clicks to Android devices, including foldables, brings the potential to transform the tech landscape of future technology. With Clicks now offering device coverings for Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Pixel 9, blackberry enthusiasts might find a sense of nostalgia with the Motorola Razr+ and its keyboard attachment. The clicks keyboard case would provide a more comfortable typing experience, especially for thumb-first typists like me, on devices like the Pixel 9 and future Z Flip phones.
