UAE Debuts Artificial Intelligence-Driven Digital Transformation and Sports Modernization Hub
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken a significant step towards modernizing its sports sector with the launch of the Digital Transformation and Sports Innovation Platform. The initiative, which aims to have a regional and global impact, was formalized through an agreement between the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
The platform, primarily implemented through platforms like 'Sportifai', establishes a unified system that links all sports organizations across the UAE, enhancing collaboration, governance, and operational efficiency within the sports sector.
Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, will chair the new entity overseeing digital transformation in the sector. He highlighted the essential role of digital transformation in ensuring sustainable progress and emphasized that the platform will develop a data-driven digital sports infrastructure.
The platform is expected to elevate Emirati sports by leveraging knowledge and innovation. It will provide smart digital solutions for clubs and federations, offer specialized training programs for sports professionals, and implement AI-based performance analytics for athletes.
Strategic partnerships with national and global sports entities will be established, and the platform will integrate AI-powered solutions to enhance athlete performance, improve governance, and align with the National Sports Strategy 2031.
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the NOC, was present at the event. He emphasized that true sports development requires a sustainable, future-ready system and that the initiative solidifies the UAE's commitment to shaping an innovation-led sports ecosystem.
In the coming weeks, the platform will unveil its institutional identity, and a board of directors featuring key figures from the sports and technology sectors will be announced.
This platform is part of a wider effort in the UAE and the Middle East to accelerate innovation in sports through technology. The initiative also complements other UAE sports innovation endeavors such as attracting elite athletes under the Golden Visa scheme to strengthen the sports ecosystem.
