Unveiled: Top 10 Best-Paid Careers in Switzerland
Getting Paid Big Bucks in Switzerland
Switzerland's job market is booming, with companies from various sectors recruiting employees not just from the country, but also from the EU and EFTA states. To attract top talent, employers are pulling out all the stops - from attractive salaries to flexible work hours and a whole host of perks. But what professions are currently at the top of the pay scale?
The answer came from Indeed, a recruitment agency, in the form of their latest analysis, revealing which professionals have been earning the highest salaries over the past four years. Only jobs with a median national salary of at least 80,000 francs were considered - meaning half of the employees earned less than 80,000 francs while the other half earned more.
So, which jobs made the list?
As expected, top positions in the financial sector (including banking) pay the best overall, with executives commanding median annual salaries of 129,590 francs. However, it's not all about money - tax and security experts earned 125,000 francs a year, followed by cybersecurity engineers with an annual income of 122,000 francs.
Next on the list are senior system engineers (118,010); sales team leaders (117,500); trustee mandate managers (114,579); accounts managers (110,000); IT consultants (108,889); security specialists (108,333); and branch managers (107,500).
But the big bucks don't stop there. Another recent study - the Michael Page Salary and Hiring Insights Guide 2025 - sheds light on the highest-paying jobs in Switzerland. These are the top earners, according to the study:
