The Viture Luma Pro smart glasses have recently been updated with a new feature: Immersive 3D. This innovative technology, primarily driven by the SpaceWalker app, transforms regular 2D content into 3D, offering a more immersive viewing experience by creating depth perception.

The SpaceWalker app is available on various platforms, including desktop (Windows and macOS), iOS, and Android. It enables the Luma Pro glasses to support native 3D content and convert regular 2D content into 3D. Interestingly, it's also possible to modify compatible games to enable 3D, even if they don't natively support it, using tools like ReShade.

In terms of device compatibility, the Luma Pro glasses connect via USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 4, making them compatible with a wide range of devices such as smartphones, PCs, Steam Deck, and other consoles. For Nintendo Switch, an additional VITURE Pro Mobile Dock (HDMI adapter) is required due to the Switch's HDMI output.

However, there are some compatibility limitations. For instance, the Immersive 3D mode is incompatible with certain devices like the Google Pixel 8 Pro due to the device's lack of support for required resolution output. Older devices such as some Samsung Galaxy phones work well once certain modes like DeX are disabled.

The new Luma Pro glasses boast upgraded Sony micro-OLED displays providing 1200p resolution and a wider field of view compared to previous models, along with comfort adjustments and a front camera for planned future features.

While the Immersive 3D feature offers an enhanced viewing experience, it's important to note that the SpaceWalker app, which is required for Android phones to use Immersive 3D, needs improvement for a more natural user experience. Currently, Immersive 3D supports a limited number of apps, only those that work through the built-in Firefox-based web browser.

Viture is working on compatibility for Android and developing an Android XR operating system to support all Android apps, though this may require separate hardware or an Android XR app. Unfortunately, Immersive 3D is not compatible with Netflix due to a lack of proper DRM translation through the web browser.

The Spacewalker app provides a short YouTube playlist and a handful of example photos for testing the automated 3D translation feature. However, it's worth noting that the app can be unreliable and clunky, with the Immersive 3D button disappearing at times.

In summary, the Immersive 3D feature on Viture Luma Pro smart glasses offers an innovative way to enhance your viewing experience, but it's important to consider device compatibility and the current limitations of the SpaceWalker app.

Smartphones, such as Android devices like the Google Pixel 8 Pro, can benefit from the Immersive 3D feature of the Viture Luma Pro smart glasses, but the SpaceWalker app, required for Android phones to use Immersive 3D, currently needs improvement for a more natural user experience. Additionally, the Luma Pro glasses support various devices, including smartphones, PCs, and consoles, through USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 4 connections.
