VLF Launches Powerful Mobster 135 Scooter at ₹1.30 Lakh
VLF has launched the Mobster 135, a powerful 125cc electric scooter priced at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It's the most potent in its class, generating 12.1 bhp and 11.7 Nm, with a claimed top speed of 105 kmph. The electric scooter has received over 1,000 bookings in its first 48 hours.
The Mobster 135 is assembled in Kolhapur using CKD kits, balancing European design and cost control. It features a streetfighter-inspired design by Italian designer Alessandro Tartarini. The electric scooter comes packed with features like a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition, and dual-channel ABS with traction control.
VLF offers a 4-year/40,000 km warranty and one year of roadside assistance with the Mobster 135. The introductory price of ₹1.30 lakh is higher than regular 125 cc electric scooters but lower than premium imports. Pricing will increase to ₹1.38 lakh after the first 2,500 units, with 1,500 electric scooters still available at the lower price. VLF currently operates through 12 dealerships in major cities, with plans to add 13 more.
The Mobster 135, developed by VLF under the leadership of founder Ralph Gilles, has made a strong start with its powerful performance and feature-rich package. With its competitive pricing and extensive warranty, it aims to make a mark in the 125cc electric scooter segment.
