VML Appoints Jeff Geheb as Head of $1.5 Billion Enterprise Solutions Department

VML Revamps Structure: Introducing the Enterprise Solutions Division

In a significant move, VML has appointed Jeff Geheb as the CEO of its newly-established Enterprise Solutions division. This division brings together VML's consulting, customer experience, commerce, and technology transformation services, providing a unified approach to tackling complex business issues for global clients.

To put things into perspective, while these capabilities existed across VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson prior to their 2023 merger, the new structure offers singular leadership, scale, and a cohesive go-to-market strategy. As Jon Cook, VML's global CEO, put it, "It's not a reorg or a net-new offering. It's the formalization of what Jeff's already been doing over the past year-connecting four powerful capabilities and giving them the visibility and clarity they need to grow."

The Enterprise Solutions division represents a substantial chunk of VML's global business, making up 40% and generating a revenue of $1.5 billion. With a workforce of over 7,000 employees, it boasts 150+ clients, including Ford, Google, and Shell. Collectively, these clients generate over $29 billion annually through 500+ platforms built by the division.

Interestingly, this division isn't designed to compete with VML's creative capabilities but rather work in harmony with them. As Geheb, a 25-year VML veteran, explained, "The modern face of VML is still VML. But we're increasingly seeing new audiences-IT, digital, service, and sales groups-coming to us through the capability front door rather than the creative one. And we're structured to meet them there."

The division is designed to be adaptable, enabling clients to enter through creative, technology, or strategy, depending on their unique business needs. Practically speaking, the group handles a wide range of projects, from customer journey mapping to loyalty programs, platform modernization, and AI-powered content delivery, often within a single account. Take Ford, for instance, which initially approached VML to reimagine customer experience across the vehicle purchase journey. Over time, VML's work with the automaker expanded into commerce, CRM, andplatform innovation.

As Geheb takes charge, he will oversee leadership across the four enterprise capabilities, with announcements regarding global leads for each pillar-consulting, CX, commerce, and technology transformation-on the horizon. This operation will stay closely connected to WPP, including collaboration with GroupM, Choreograph, and the WPP Open platform.

Jon Cook emphasizes, "It's not a standalone company-it's a deeply connected part of VML and WPP. What's unique is the proximity of world-class creativity and technology under one roof. That's what makes us a unicorn-and you can't just hire your way into that."
