Vodka's US On-Premise Share Dips as Whiskey Slips and Tequila Gains

In the United States On-Premise market, vodka's share of spirits sales by value has slightly decreased to 23.3%, while whiskey remains the third highest grossing segment at 23.0%.

Whiskey, despite its dominance, saw a significant drop in its rate of sale by 8.1%. This decline was not mirrored by all whiskey types; American whiskey actually increased its share within the whiskey segment to 56.6%. Meanwhile, Canadian and Irish whiskeys lost some ground, with shares decreasing by 1.1 and 0.2 percentage points respectively.

Tequila, on the other hand, has been gaining traction. It accounted for 23.7% of all spirits sales by value in the United States On-Premise, marking a 0.6 percentage point increase from the previous year.

The spirits landscape in the United States On-Premise continues to evolve. While vodka's share has dipped slightly, whiskey's overall dominance remains, despite varying performances among its subcategories. Tequila, however, is showing strong growth, indicating shifting consumer preferences.
