In a strategic move, YGG Play has partnered with GLHF, the studio behind the popular Web3 game Gigaverse. This collaboration marks YGG Play's first foray into third-party game publishing, signifying its broader ambition to become a key enabler of community-centric Web3 games.

Gigaverse, a Web3 nostalgia-inspired RPG, has resonated with both traditional gamers and crypto-savvy users, particularly the "Casual Degens" within the Web3 community. The game, which operates on Abstract, a blockchain tailored for casual Web3 users, has demonstrated strong market performance, generating over $6 million in revenue since its launch in February 2024, without any venture capital, paid advertising, or influencer partnerships.

YGG Play's role in this partnership is to amplify Gigaverse's success by expanding its reach and user base using their community-centric approach and market knowledge. The collaboration introduces a blockchain-based revenue-sharing model via smart contracts, enhancing transparency and fairness compared to traditional opaque publishing deals.

Gabby Dizon, co-founder of YGG, highlights Gigaverse as a perfect example of Web3 games catering simultaneously to traditional gamers and Web3 users. This partnership exemplifies YGG Play's commitment to bridging these audiences and fostering vibrant, sustainable gaming communities.

The partnership also includes a content creator campaign to promote both Gigaverse and LOL Land, another title developed by GLHF. Notable personalities involved in the campaign include Iceyyy, host of Gaming Daily, Raiden, founder of Kronicles, and Storming, who leads Brazil's Tempest Gaming Guild. Returning influencers for the campaign include Elisa, known for her support of the Abstract Chain, and YellowPanther, the 2024 GAM3 Awards Content Creator of the Year.

Dith, the founder of GLHF, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting Gigaverse's engaging mechanics and revenue performance. Dith previously found success with a viral NFT project in 2022 and held roles at Web3 firms such as Proof of Play and Pirate Nation.

This partnership extends YGG Play beyond its proprietary titles, establishing itself as a dynamic force in the evolving landscape of blockchain gaming. By utilizing its publishing arm to nurture and scale promising Web3 titles with authentic gaming culture insight and localized market understanding, implementing an onchain, transparent revenue-sharing system, and engaging communities deeply for player acquisition and long-term involvement, YGG Play aims to become a central facilitator of community-focused Web3 gaming ecosystems.

In the expanded scope of their endeavors, YGG Play's collaboration with GLHF in the business of publishing Gigaverse signifies a strategic voyage into technology-driven gaming, particularly Web3 games. Employing their community-centric approach and market knowledge, YGG Play aims to amplify Gigaverse's success and cultivate a thriving, sustainable gaming community, fostering a blockchain-based revenue-sharing model for fairness and transparency.
