WordPress Simplifies Shortcode Management with New UI

WordPress users can now add and manage news more easily with the new Shortcode UI. After saving, the Entry Editor's Add Media Bar reveals a news option. To create a new one, click the blue ‘+’ icon in the bottom-right corner.

Adding news involves filling out three fields: Name, Embed code, and AMP embed code. The Shortcode UI, also known as Shortcake, is a collaborative effort by Fusion Engineering and the community.

To keep articles up-to-date with modified news, follow these steps: first, update the news snippet in the Shortcodes Dashboard, then click 'Save'. Next, open the affected article in the Entry Editor and click 'Update'.

It's important to note that modifying a news snippet in the Shortcodes Dashboard does not automatically update embedded content in articles. Manual intervention is required.
